We, the family of the late Mary wish to thank family and friends who sympathised with us following our recent bereavement. Your support at this difficult time is greatly appreciated. We thank especially Fr John Gates who was so compassionate and accommodating and for celebrating the very personal Funeral Mass. We thank Niamh Murphy (Granddaughter) for the beautiful music which helped make the Funeral Mass so special. Thanks to the staff of Draperstown Surgery and in particular, Drs Logan and White, the staff of O’Brien’s Pharmacy, the District Nurses and Mid Ulster Hospital Diversion Team. We thank especially the fantastic Professor McMullan and her team at the Haematology Unit in The City Hospital, Dr Rodgers and his team and the staff on Ward C7, Antrim Area Hospital. Our thanks also to McCusker Bros for the professional and dignified manner in which they carried out funeral arrangements and to the gravediggers. As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our deep appreciation. Mary’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 13 June at the 18.15 Vigil Mass in the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, Magherafelt and can be viewed via webcam.

We, the family of the late Ann Mc Ivor wish to express our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to all those who sympathised with us during our recent bereavement.

Thank you to all those who sent Mass and sympathy cards, messages, letters, flowers, food, and telephoned. We were completely overwhelmed by your support which meant so much in the current circumstances. To Stephen and staff at Spar Moneymore for the refreshments. We wish to acknowledge Dr Kuriacose, Dr McKay, District Nurses and all the staff of Moneymore Medical Centre who cared for mum over the years. Many thanks to Stephen Mc Kay and the staff of Moneymore Pharmacy for their attention to mum’s medical needs. To the wonderful team of carers who looked after mum at home with such dedication and care, and also the staff of Westlands Care Home Cookstown for their kindness during mum’s brief stay. To those who stayed with mum overnight at home keeping her company- thank you. To Dr Murtagh and all the staff of ward A3 Antrim Area Hospital, especially nurses Deborah and Helen, your compassion and care meant so much to us in mum’s final days. You all do an incredible job and we will be forever grateful. To Father O’Reilly for administering the Sacrament of the Sick, and Father McArdle for visiting mum at home and celebrating the beautiful Requiem Mass. Your prayers and kind words were of great comfort to us. To our friends, extended family, neighbours and Moneymore community who came out on the wet morning of her funeral in large numbers to show their support. A special mention to the members of Henry Joy McCracken GAC who lined the route. We wish we could have spoken to each one of you and thanked you for supporting us on the day. We also appreciate that many people wanted to be there but were unable to do so due to restrictions. To Enda and Tom Mc Cusker, Funeral Directors for their professional, dignified and personal service, especially in such difficult circumstances. To Sarah McArdle who provided the wonderful music at mum’s home and by the graveside. Finally to Patsy McGlone MLA for your guidance and counsel. As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our deep appreciation. Acknowledgement for Shivers

 

The family of the late Joe Shivers wish to express our heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised with us following our recent bereavement.  Thanks to everyone who sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, messages, phone calls and letters of condolence all of which was a great comfort to us.  We are so grateful to all of the family, friends and neighbours who lined the route and Church car park to pay their respects.  Thanks especially to Creagh Concrete for providing the lorry to lead the funeral procession.  We would like to express our appreciation to Monsignor Dolan and Father Donnelly for their help and support, the McCusker Brothers and the grave diggers for their professional service.  We thank the Gribbin Girls for the beautiful and fitting music which helped to make the funeral Mass so special.  Thanks to the staff at Antrim Area Hospital for their care and compassion.  As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our deep appreciation.

Acknowledgement for Doherty

 

We the family of the late Martin Doherty would like to express our sincere thanks and heartfelt appreciation to all those who sympathised with us in our recent bereavement. We wish to thank all those who sent kind messages, mass and sympathy cards. With the current pandemic these were not normal times and we know everyone felt this. We wish to thank Fr Paddy Doherty for his spiritual support and Fr Keaney for celebrating the requiem mass.  Thanks also to Faoiltiarna Burke for the beautiful singing.

We are grateful to Robert Emmets Slaughtneil, the lorry drivers and all the family and friends who turned out to line the route and chapel car park to pay their respects. A special mention to Dr Niamh Monaghan, Dr Catherine Monaghan, all the staff at Maghera Medical Centre and Harkins chemist for the exceptional care and dedication you provided to Martin. Sincere thanks to the funeral directors McCusker Bros Magherafelt for the efficient and dignified way they carried out the funeral.  Thanks also to the grave diggers. We thank all those – far too many to mention, who supported us as a family through this difficult time and hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a small token of our appreciation.

Acknowledgement for Michael Joseph Toner

 

His wife, Philomena and the sons, daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers and sisters of the late Michael Joseph Toner would like to express our sincere thanks and heartfelt appreciation to all those who sympathised with us in our recent bereavement.  Thank you to everyone who sent Mass Cards, Sympathy Cards, messages, phonecalls, letters of condolence and floral tributes, all of which were a great comfort to us in these very difficult times.  We appreciate that many people wanted to be there but were unable to do so due to the current restrictions.  Thanks also to those who left food at the house and who offered assistance.  We are very grateful to all the family, friends and neighbours who turned out in large numbers to line the route and pay their respects from when the cortege left his family home to the chapel and also the graveyard – we wish we could have spoken to each one of you and thanked you for your support on the day.  Thank you to Enda and Tom McCusker, Funeral Directors, for their very professional, dignified and personal service, especially given the difficult circumstances.  Thanks also to Fr Madden who visited Michael before he died and to Fr McGirr who was so compassionate and helpful throughout and who celebrated a very personal Funeral Mass.  Thank you to Moira Crawley who provided the lovely music which helped make the Funeral Mass special, and to the Grandchildren who provided a beautiful tribute to their grandfather and beautiful music at the graveside.  Thanks also to the gravediggers for preparing the grave.  We would also like to thank Dr Small who cared for Michael during his short illness and the nurses in Ward A4, Antrim Area Hospital, who made him comfortable during his final hours.  As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our deep appreciation.

Michael’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Friday 3rd July at 7.30pm in St Mary’s Church, Coolcalm and can be viewed via the Desertmartin Parish webcam.

We the family of the late Anne (Annie) Hawe. Would like to express our sincere appreciation to those who sympathised with us in our recent bereavement on 8 June 2020. In these trying and difficult times thanks to everyone who sent Mass Cards, Sympathy Cards, flowers, text and telephone messages of condolence. All of which were a great comfort to us. Heartfelt thanks to those who turned out in large numbers at the Church to pay their respects. Thanks to the doctors, sisters and nursing staff in ICU Antrim Area Hospital for their professional and dignified care. A very special mention to the Liaison staff for their kindness and compassion. We would like to thank Father John Gates for celebrating the requiem Mass. Sincere thanks to the McCusker Brothers and the grave diggers for their professional and dignified way they carried out the funeral arrangements. We thank all those – far too many to mention, who supported us and hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a small token of our appreciation. 

Anne’s months mind mass will be held in the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption Magherafelt on Wednesday 8 July at 8pm. Numbers have now been relaxed to 100. People from the same household can sit together. Others 2 per pew. Please forward this message to those you think would like to attend.

The family of the late John McAllister would like to express our sincere appreciation to everyone who sympathised with us following our recent bereavement. Thank you to everyone who sent mass cards, sympathy cards, messages, phone calls, flowers and letters of condolence, all of which were a great comfort to us. Thanks to Fr John Gates who visited our home and celebrated requiem mass, thanks to The Gribbin Girls for their beautiful singing. Sincere to the McCusker brothers, Enda, Tom and Ronan for all their help and advice in making arrangements and their professional and dignified manner carrying out the funeral. Thank you also to the grave diggers. A special thanks to the Trust Home Care Workers and community nurses who's care, compassion and support enabled us to keep John in his own home, they do an incredible job and we will be forever grateful. Thanks to Dr Morris, Dr O Kane and Dr Roddy and the staff at O'Brien's chemist for their attention to John's medical needs, and also to to his MHOP social worker Camille.
