We the family of the late Michael McErlain wish to express our heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised with us during the recent sad bereavement of our father Michael.

 

We are truly grateful to everyone who attended the wake, funeral, brought food, sent messages of condolences and cards. Also thanks to the AOH Hall for crockery and seating and to St. Treas Gac for assistance with parking and traffic control.

 

Profound thanks to Father Juan for such a beautiful requiem mass and to Deacon Kevin Duffy and Fr Fox for their spiritual guidance to us. To Sioban Robinson for her beautiful singing which enriched the mass so beautifully and to the Sacristan and eucharistic ministers a sincere thanks.

 

A special thanks to the consultants, doctors and nurses of ward A6 Antrim Area Hospital who showed Daddy such great compassion and care throughout his illness.

 

To the Mc Cusker Bros, we are indebted to you for your guidance and compassion shown throughout the wake and funeral. Thanks to James and the staff at Mary's for the refreshments following the funeral.

We, the family of the late Seamus Doherty wish to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone who sympathised with us during our recent sad bereavement. We would especially like to thank our extended family, friends, neighbours, and everyone who helped at the wake. Those who brought food, sent mass and sympathy cards, telephoned, posted tributes online, sent messages, called at the house, stood along the road as we made our way to Seamus’s resting place and attended the funeral.

 

Sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and entire medical profession who cared for Seamus during his illness. We will be forever grateful to the team in the respiratory ward in Antrim Hospital, the Marie Curies nurses, community nurses and personal care team, Casltedawson GP surgery and all in McKeevers Pharmacy, Castledawson.


A special word of thanks to Seamus’s nephew Fr Martin McErlean, Fr John Fox and Deacon Kevin Duffy for a deeply personal celebration of his life and Requiem Mass.


We as an entire family were deeply humbled and by the support and practical assistance, we received from Sean O’Leary’s Newbridge GAC community throughout the wake and funeral. Thank you.

We the family of the late Mary Brigid Muldoon (nee Storrie) RIP wish to express our heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation to all who sympathised with us during our recent sad bereavement of our beloved mother. Mary Brigid was an adored mother, granny, great granny and sister who will be sorely missed but her love will live on in our hearts forever.

 

We are truly grateful to everyone who attended the wake and funeral, brought food, sent messages of condolences, cards, flowers and donated to Marie Curie. Also thanks to St Treas GAC for the assistance with parking and traffic control on the main road.

 

A special thank you to Fr Fox and Deacon Kevin Duffy for their visits to mummy and their spiritual support which was so very important to her over the past months when she couldn't make it to Mass, also along with Fr Juan for celebrating a beautiful Requiem Mass. To the Gribben Girls for their beautiful singing and music during the Mass, Jim McPeake the sacristan and also our thanks to Angela Walls for bringing mummy Communion every Sunday.

 

We are eternally grateful for the professional, loving and compassionate care provided to mummy by Trust Homecare girls, each one of the district nurses from Bellaghy Medical Centre over the past 9 months and also the Marie Curie staff in her final days. Their dedication and kindness brought immense comfort to mummy and she had built up such beautiful friendships with them. We will forever cherish the warmth and support they provided during the most difficult days.

 

Also to the staff in Garden Street Surgery and McGlaughlins Pharmacy for their support offered to our mother over the years.

 

We would like to express our sincere thanks to McCusker Bros Funeral Directors for their compassion, professional and respectful handling of the funeral arrangements and to James McCoy for preparing the grave.

We greatly appreciate those who attended and took part in mum’s funeral mass as well as those that followed via the webcam both at home and abroad and to those that gathered at her home to walk with us on her journey to the church. 


Profound thanks to Fr Gates for celebrating the beautiful Requiem Mass and for his visits to mum at home and in hospital, your support and friendship throughout the years meant so much to her and our family. Thanks also to the Sacristan, the Eucharistic ministers, the grave diggers and our sincere thanks to Margaret Anne Conlon and Patrick for the beautiful singing and music which added so much throughout the mass.

It has been very comforting to hear all of your kind words.

Losing a loved one that was deeply cherished and loved it is consoling to see how much he was loved and adored by others in the outpour of attendance, messages and comments on social media. He truly was a gentleman and a very loved husband, father and granda who will be sorely missed beyond words.

We are forever grateful to the dedicated staff of Adelaide at Fairfields Care Centre, who cared for Nan with such compassion over the past three years, and to Dr Quinn and the staff of The Mid Ulster Clinic for their many years of care and kindness. Sincere thanks also to Dr McNeill, the District Nursing Team, the staff of Maghera Medical Centre, the community carers, Boots Pharmacy, and the Marie Curie team, whose combined efforts made it possible for Nan to spend her final weeks at home. The dignified care, kindness, and compassion shown to her will never be forgotten.

Magherafelt was central to Seamus’s life. He was always so proud of where he came from and of the community that shaped him. The way everyone has come together over the past few days would have filled him with pride for the place he called home for 71 years.


The messages, kind words, and genuine care shown to his wife and children have given us strength when we’ve needed it most. We are deeply grateful to everyone who called to the house, attended the wake or funeral, sent Mass cards, flowers, food and words of comfort. Your presence and support have been an immense comfort.

As we come to terms with the death of a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all who helped and supported us during Kevin’s illness, the days of the wake and the funeral. 


We are overwhelmed by the kindness and sympathy shown by messages, cards, flowers and visits. These expressions eased us in our time of grief. 


We acknowledge our debt to all at Moneymore Medical Centre, all at Moneymore Pharmacy, the Ambulance Service, staff in the Direct Assessment Unit, Programmed Treatment Unit and Ward C5 in Antrim Area Hospital. All these worked with dedication and compassion, and made Kevin’s journey easier. 


We are indebted to Nuala O’Brien who, with generosity and love, opened her house for the wake. Thanks to those who called there and those who helped. Thanks to Marie Ryan who provided food for the wake, and to Michael McElhatton and the Greenvale Hotel who provided refreshments after the funeral. 


We offer sincere gratitude to Fr McArdle and Rev Judi McGaffin who celebrated Kevin’s Requiem with dignity and respect.  Thanks to all who participated in the service, especially to those who provided the apt and moving music: Anne Tracey, Michael and Gavin Corey, Roy Arbuckle and Tracey McRory.

As we reflect on the passing of our beloved Dad and Grandad, Pat McPeake, we want to take a moment to thank everyone who has supported us over the past few weeks.

 

Your sympathy and kindness, through messages, cards, flowers and visits, meant so much to us. Hearing all the lovely stories and memories about Daddy brought comfort to our sadness and reminded us of the joy, laughter and love he shared so generously with everyone around him. We’ve especially enjoyed hearing how much his sense of humour brightened people’s lives - it made us smile and feel proud of the life he lived.

We extend our special thanks to the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children, particularly the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, for their unwavering support during Evie’s admissions. Their kindness, care, and dignity in treating Evie will always be cherished. We are also deeply thankful to Musgrave Park Hospital and the Causeway community nurses for their invaluable assistance.

 

Our gratitude goes to Father O’Reilly for his compassionate presence throughout the wake and for delivering a heartfelt requiem mass, and to Father Damien McCaughan for praying with us on the morning of Evie’s funeral. Their kindness and spiritual support have been deeply appreciated in our time of sorrow. We also wish to acknowledge all those who assisted and participated in Evie’s mass and those who lovingly prepared her final resting place.

Acknowledgement for Mark McVey

As a family we wish to express our heartfelt thanks to all who supported us during the recent bereavement of our beloved husband and father, Mark McVey. Your kindness, presence, and generosity brought great comfort and strength during this difficult time. 

 

We are especially grateful to the staff at Diamond Medical Practice, particularly Dr. Morris, for her years of dedicated care, home visits, and constant support. Thank you to all the staff at McGlaughlin’s Pharmacy for their consistent help, and to the doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and staff of Antrim Area Hospital. While Mark was at home, the district nurses, carers, and the Marie Curie team showed incredible kindness and compassion, which we will always remember. 

 

To our family, friends, and neighbours, your visits, calls, and the food you brought reminded us of the caring community around us. Thank you to those who helped prepare the house for the wake and funeral. To St. Patrick's GAC The Loup and other volunteers for assisting with parking and lending supplies. To everyone who sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, and flowers, your thoughtful words and gestures brought warmth and consolation to our hearts. 

 

We are grateful to McCusker Brothers Funeral Directors for their professionalism and compassion. To Gerard’s Flowers for the beautiful arrangements, and to Christie print for the Mass booklets. Thanks also to the singers, musicians, readers, Eucharistic ministers, and sacristan Robert for their contributions to the funeral service giving Mark a beautiful and respectful sendoff. 

 

A special thank you to Father McArdle for his visits, phone calls, and comforting words before, during, and after the funeral. We are grateful to the staff at The Black Sheep for providing tasty refreshments, and to the gravedigger for his respectful and dignified work. 

 

It would be impossible to thank everyone individually, but please accept this as a sincere expression of our appreciation for all your kindness.

Acknowledgement for Bernadette Nelson

We the family of Bernadette Nelson would like to express our sincere appreciation to all those who sympathised and supported us during the sad loss of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. We would like to thank all those who attended the wake, funeral and sent sympathy cards.

 

Thanks to the nurses and staff of ward A3 in Antrim Area Hospital, and for all those who cared for Bernadette.

 

We offer our greatest gratitude to Fr. Gates for his guidance and support towards Bernadette. Also, for her beautiful funeral mass alongside Fr. Fox. To Canon McBride for the burial service and for all those who participated in the mass.

 

Special thanks to Enda, Tom and Ronan McCusker for their dignified and professional manner in carrying out the funeral arrangements.

Acknowledgement for John Doyle

We, the family of the late John Doyle wish to express our sincere and heartfelt appreciation to all who sympathised with us on our sad loss. Thanks to all our family, many friends and kind neighbours of O’Neills Park and O’Neills Crescent for all their help during John’s wake and for all the prayers and support we have received. We extend our deepest gratitude to the many people who called to our home, attended the wake and funeral, sent mass cards, provided floral tributes or made donations, and provided food and refreshments.

 

Thanks to O’Neill Arms Toome, for the lovely refreshments after the funeral. Thanks to St Treas GFC Ballymaguigan for use of their chairs, kitchenware, etc for the wake, and special thanks to the marshals who directed traffic during the wake and funeral.

 

Special word of thanks to Fr Fox for his support and spiritual guidance to John throughout his time in hospital. Thanks to Deacon Kevin and Fr Juan for the special mass celebrating John’s life, and everyone who participated in the mass. Special thanks to Edel and Clodagh (The Gribbin Girls) for the beautiful music.

 

We also wish to express our gratitude to the staff of Garden Street Surgery, the staff on Ward C4, and Intensive Care Unit in Antrim Area Hospital, the nurses in the MacMillan unit in Antrim Area Hospital who provided care for John throughout his illness. A heartfelt thanks to McCusker Brothers for their professionalism, dignity and compassion showed to us throughout this difficult time. We would like to thank the McCoys and all who prepared the grave for John’s final resting place.

The Bradley family would like to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the entire family circle, friends and neighbours who sympathised with us during the recent bereavement of our beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend Sean Bradley.

 

We thank all who attended the wake and funeral and sent sympathy cards. We are also very grateful to those who helped throughout the wake and to those who brought food and refreshments including Apparo, Centra, Lynch’s Eurospar and Delicious Cafe. Also thanks to Sixtowns Community Group for use of their kitchenware etc. and to Glenshane Marquees for provision of the marquee and chairs at the wake.

 

A special word of thanks to Fr McCaul for the celebration of the requiem mass, pastoral care and family support. Thanks to the Sacristan, Eucharistic ministers and everyone who participated in the mass and to Oonagh Clarke for the beautiful music.

 

We thank The Market Inn Draperstown for use of venue and Delicious Cafe for refreshments provided after the burial.
